Mandor Pampa Hike


Duration: 4 hour(s) - Location: Machupicchu

With one of our experienced guides, you will enjoy a half day of hiking in the amazing environment of Mandor Pampa close to the village of Aguas Calientes.

Mandor Pampa can be considered as the entrance of the Peruvian cloud forest and, therefore, you will find many birds and coloured orchids in this area. This walk will lead you deep into Mandor Pampa until a waterfall blocks your road. We will rest a few minutes at this waterfall before we start our walk back to the village of Aguas Calientes.

When you spend at least two days in Aguas Calientes, this hike to Mandor Pampa can wonderfully compliment one's excursion up to the Machupicchu ruins.

Itinerary

  • Pick up from your hotel by your guide
  • Walk along the railroad to Mandor Pampa
  • You'll enter Mandor's Park and walk till the waterfall, before you walk back again to the village of Aguas Calientes
  • At the end of this hike, your guide will drop you off at your hotel

Please make sure to bring insect repellent, sun block and a hat to protect your head from the sun. In the rainy season, you should also bring rain clothing.
